Job Summary: 

The Financial Analyst, under the direction of the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager, is responsible for the preparation of various financial reporting requirements (both internal and external) for the Vehicle Systems – US division (i.e. American Rheinmetall) in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  Supporting financial forecasting, analysis, and budget activities is also a key area of focus for this role, among others.  

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Distribute AR financial reporting calendar to relevant teams monthly; ensure all deadlines are met (via close tracker) and identify areas of improvement/pain points in process
  • In coordination with the Senior Financial Analyst, prepare timely and accurate financial reports and analysis in accordance with financial reporting calendar, including various submissions to parent company via their financial reporting tool (SAP RuBin)
  • Prepare the AR Corporate cost allocation monthly, including updating base allocation factors and calculating periodic true-up as needed 
  • Lead the monthly financial consolidation process for the division, including coordination of intercompany balancing amongst division entities as well as with international affiliates
  • Support preparation of various management slide presentations with financial updates for the division, including Monthly Management Review
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of non-recurring expenses (i.e. addbacks to EBIT/operating result) 
  • Coordinate monthly KPI reporting, including working to ensure accuracy of KPI’s/data between Finance and Quality teams
  • Assist with the preparation of ASC 842 lease accounting templates as needed, including analyzing new lease agreements for data entry into template and providing journal entries to site controllers
  • Provide support as needed with the coordination and completion of the annual budget process, including scheduling meetings, following up on action items, rolling forward slide presentations, and preparing parent company submissions
  • Participate as needed in ongoing compliance efforts, including providing data/documentation for financial statement audits and tax return preparation
  • Support the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager in the completion of ad hoc analysis and special projects, including modeling business decision scenarios, analyzing operating site and program sales/margin variances to budget, and creation of custom dashboards for leadership review
  • Own the maintenance of financial consolidation and forecasting software Planful, including rolling forward forecast scenarios, mapping new accounts to proper financial statement line items, and user access management
  • Utilizes various programs to complete tasks assigned, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Plex ERP, Planful, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to balance multiple tasks and coordinate prioritization with the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and seek clarification on work assignments/priorities as needed
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing, unstructured environment and provide suggestions for process structure and improvement
  • Ability to work in an international environment and different time zones
  • Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to be consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality requirements regarding company finances and personnel information

 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent degree

 

Background Prerequisites:

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience preferred
  • Plex ERP system software experience preferred but not necessary
