Description
ICM Solutions, the leader in crushing, underground mining rebuild, and white paving equipment, service, and solutions across the Mountain West, is looking for a motivated and curious Financial Analyst to join its growing Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with a Senior/Lead FP&A Analyst, this role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational analysis across the organization.
The Financial Analyst will help transform financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and business performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a developing finance professional to gain exposure to all aspects of financial planning and analysis within a growing, multi-location organization serving the heavy equipment and construction industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting activities.
- Assist in maintaining forecast models and planning tools used throughout the organization.
- Work with department managers to gather information, validate assumptions, and analyze forecast results.
- Participate in monthly forecast updates and analysis of business trends.
Financial Analysis
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior-period performance.
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, inventory performance, and profitability trends.
- Support pricing, customer, product, and business segment analyses.
- Assist in preparing business cases, return-on-investment analyses, and other decision-support materials.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and communicate findings to finance leadership.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of management reporting packages.
- Compile, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple systems.
- Create clear and concise visualizations and summaries for leadership and department managers.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests from finance and operational leaders.
Business Partnership
- Partner with accounting and operational teams to validate financial and operational data.
- Support department managers in understanding budget performance and key business metrics.
- Provide analytical support to initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes and data quality.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end financial review and management reporting activities.
- Support strategic planning and special projects as assigned.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and company values.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
- Experience within industrial distribution, manufacturing, construction, equipment, transportation, or related industries is preferred but not required.
- Internship or early-career experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Understanding of financial statements and fundamental financial analysis concepts.
- Ability to work with large data sets and translate information into actionable insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated learner with a desire to expand financial planning and analysis expertise.
- Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is a plus.
