What you'll get

A 0 to 100 score with strengths and gaps for one role.

Example
78
/ 100
Strong fit

Worth applying. Close one gap in your résumé or cover letter first.

What already fits

  • 6 years of React; the role asks for 5+
  • Fintech checkout work maps to payments experience
  • Built a shared component library (design systems)

Gaps to close

  • TypeScript isn't mentioned anywhere. If you use it, say so.
  • No accessibility work listed; the posting makes WCAG 2.1 AA the default.
  • No performance numbers; add the result of your checkout work.

How to read a job-fit score

The score compares your résumé with the posting's must-haves and nice-to-haves: skills, years and level, domain, and the kind of results the role expects. 75 and up is a strong fit. 50 to 74 is worth applying if you close a gap or two in your résumé or cover letter. Below 50, look for a closer role.

The gaps matter more than the number. A gap is often something you have done but didn't write down. Add it and the fit changes. If it's a real gap, you'll know what the interview will probe.

The score reflects what's on the page, not your worth as a candidate. Use it to decide where to spend your time.

Questions

What does the score measure?

How closely your résumé matches the posting's requirements, from 0 to 100, with the strengths and gaps that drove it.

Is it really free?

Yes. Each tool gives you one free run, with no sign-up and no credit card. After that, a free JobCubby account gives you 15 AI generations a month.

Do you store my résumé or the job description?

No. JobCubby doesn't store the text you paste here. It is sent to our AI provider only to produce your result, and JobCubby doesn't keep it. We keep a count of runs (without your text) so each tool stays one free try.

Is this the same as the match score in job search?

No. In a JobCubby account, job search shows a match score based on your profile preferences. This tool scores your résumé against one posting.

Why do you check that I'm human?

The free tools run on real AI, so we use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots from using them up. It usually passes on its own without a puzzle.
