Join Softeta to help build the next generation of banking software. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to a transformation project by designing and developing backend services within an event-driven microservices architecture.

What You will do • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java services that are reliable, reusable, and scalable.

  • Improve application performance, resilience, and code quality to support long-term system maintainability.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate business needs into robust backend solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and anticipate their impact on distributed systems.
  • Apply Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles, share knowledge, and help strengthen the team’s engineering practices.

Technologies - Java, SpringBoot, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and Kafka or similar message brokers.
  • Ability to design secure, resilient cloud-based systems, with practical knowledge of relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of Clean Code and Clean Architecture, with sound judgment when evaluating technical trade-offs.
  • A collaborative, product-oriented mindset and fluent English for technical discussions.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and reliability.

Salary:

  • For employees: 5 500 EUR to 7000 EUR monthly (gross).
  • For contractors: 35 EUR to 45 EUR per hour (plus VAT).
