About the role

The Associate Business Analyst will gather and analyze business requirements to support process improvement and technology solution design. They will also facilitate communication between business and technical teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a university degree in Management, IT, or a business-related field and possess at least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI is required, with Lean Six Sigma certification considered an advantage.

Full description

Duties will include:

  • Requirements gathering: Work closely with various stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements and needs.
  • Data and information analysis: Analyse processes and conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights as per project requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, assist in the design and implementation of re-engineered processes and in similar initiatives for achieving operational efficiency.
  • Solution Design: Assist stakeholders and departments in the design and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Reporting: Assist in the design and recommendation of reports and dashboards to track business performance, support decision-making and monitor benefits realisation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Participate in effective communication between business units, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business processes and solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Any other cognate duties

Technical and behavioural skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL and BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with AI tools for achieving business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Management, IT or any other business-related field.
  • A Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma would be a definite advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience either as an Associate Business Analyst or as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry.
  • Some experiences in projects environment would be a plus.
