Meo Carbon Solutions is an independent consulting company focusing on sustainability advancement. We support public and private sector clients worldwide in the strategic orientation and implementation of goal-oriented measures towards more sustainable production pathways and ecologically and socially responsible business activities. Our aim is to help clients achieve carbon-neutrality and net-zero by developing corporate sustainability strategies, calculating product and company carbon footprints as well as implementing sustainability measures, emission compensation and carbon trading. We are also involved in the development and implementation of sustainability standards to ensure sustainable value chains and social compliance.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for at least one more Project Manager – GHG Emission Calculation (Fuel Supply Chains) in a permanent full-time position at our head office in Cologne. 

The Project Manager – GHG Emission Calculation (Fuel Supply Chains) has the objective to lead and oversee projects focused on greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations and sustainability reporting. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant GHG assessments aligned with various regulatory and organizational sustainability targets.

  • You will be responsible for consulting projects with a focus on renewable fuels and energy carriers, circular economy, bioeconomy, chemical products and many more
  • You will develop/review GHG calculators for various fuel supply chains, and support clients in optimising the CI score or in performing hotspot analysis. 
  • You will conduct feasibility studies, market research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies
  • You will support the further development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
  • You will be responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, participation in client meetings and project workshops
  • You will perform company presentations at public national and international events

Your profile

  • University degree in environmental engineering, chemistry, energy management, natural sciences, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, land management or other related fields
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in e.g. greenhouse gas calculations, sustainability certification and compliance, auditing for international supply chains
  • Proven hands-on experience in applying e.g. EU RED GHG methodology (biofuels, RFNBO, RCF), ICAO CORSIA GHG methodology, GHG Protocol, Product Carbon Footprints, and similar standards as well as knowledge in sustainability certification will be of advantage
  • Knowledge on different biofuels, PtX fuel conversion pathways, Global and EU-level policy requirements for fuels supply chains will be of advantage
  • Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (both at least C1), other languages of advantage
  • High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
  • Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency 
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
