Fabric Data Engineer
Job Summary
As a Fabric Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL processes, managing data ingestion workflows, and building efficient pipelines within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to support enterprise data initiatives
- Develop and optimize data ingestion workflows from multiple source systems into centralized data platforms
- Implement Spark SQL queries and transformations to process large-scale datasets efficiently
- Collaborate with BI and AI teams to ensure data pipelines meet analytical and reporting requirements
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Optimize data storage and processing strategies within the Microsoft Fabric environment
- Document data engineering processes, pipeline architecture, and data flow diagrams
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
Required Qualifications
- Mid-level professional experience in data engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric for ETL and data pipeline development
- Strong proficiency in Spark SQL for data transformation and processing
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing data ingestion workflows
- Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data processing performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional Microsoft data platform tools (Azure Synapse, Power BI, Azure Data Factory)
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows
- Prior experience supporting BI and AI teams with data infrastructure
