INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned OT Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team and provide technical leadership for the assessment, protection, monitoring, and maintenance of Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity across ICSS, DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, network, and associated OT assets. The role ensures effective segmentation, secure access, system hardening, vulnerability management, incident response, and cybersecurity configuration control in accordance with approved standards and site requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead OT cybersecurity assessments, hardening, monitoring, and protection of DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, network, and other OT assets.
  • Maintain and review OT network zoning and segmentation, including firewalls, secure communication paths, and controlled conduits.
  • Manage and review secure remote access, privileged access, user accounts, authentication, and access controls for OT systems.
  • Perform system hardening assessments and verify compliance with approved OT cybersecurity baselines.
  • Support vulnerability assessment, patch management, antivirus/endpoint protection, and remediation while considering OT availability and process safety.
  • Review OT configuration changes, software updates, system modifications, and maintenance activities for cybersecurity impact.
  • Monitor and investigate cybersecurity alerts, suspicious activities, system anomalies, and potential OT security incidents.
  • Support OT incident response, containment, recovery, evidence preservation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain cybersecurity baselines, asset inventories, network diagrams, firewall rules, access records, backup information, and security documentation.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity remediation with ICSS, Instrumentation, IT/OT, Operations, Engineering, HSE, vendors, and OEMs.
  • Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and restoration testing for critical OT systems.
  • Conduct or support cybersecurity audits, assessments, compliance reviews, and security testing in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Apply IEC 62443 principles and applicable site cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide technical guidance and awareness to ICSS and maintenance personnel on OT cybersecurity requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with MOC, PTW/LOTO, HSE, cybersecurity, access control, and site security requirements.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant oil & gas/industrial experience, including at least 5 years in OT/ICS cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC 62443, OT cybersecurity architecture, security controls, and industrial cybersecurity practices.
  • Advanced experience in OT zoning, segmentation, firewalls, secure conduits, and industrial network security.
  • Hands-on knowledge of DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, ICSS, industrial networks, and OT assets.
  • Strong experience with secure remote access, privileged access, authentication, user management, and access control.
  • Experience in system hardening, vulnerability assessment, patch management, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity remediation.
  • Knowledge of OT incident detection, response, containment, recovery, RCA, and digital evidence preservation.
  • Experience with configuration management, security baselines, asset inventories, backups, and cybersecurity documentation.
  • Strong understanding of MOC/change control and cybersecurity impact assessment for OT modifications.
  • Experience coordinating with IT/OT, ICSS, Operations, Engineering, OEMs, vendors, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, incident-response, and technical reporting skills.
  • IEC 62443, GICSP, CISSP, ISA/IEC cybersecurity, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Relevant OEM/platform cybersecurity training is desirable.
