Enterprise Cybersecurity BigID EngineerThe Opportunity:
Support Booz Allen’s Enterprise Cybersecurity team by leveraging BigID's data security platform to discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across cloud environments. Implement advanced data loss prevention (DLP) strategies to address unauthorized exfiltration risks and support compliance with standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Drive execution of zero-trust frameworks using BigID integrations with tools such as Microsoft Purview. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability and maturity of the organization's DLP program. Stay current with emerging data security threats and collaborate with other cybersecurity teams in a Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) environment to understand the impact of data security risks and possible impacts to the global enterprise.
You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in DLP engineering or data security
- Experience deploying and configuring BigID scanners and data source connections across environments, including scan profiles, scheduling, credentials, and performance tuning
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python, for workflow automation and integration
- Experience supporting the building, testing, and tuning of BigID classifiers to reduce false positives and mitigate data leakage scenarios
- Experience translating scan results into risk-based findings and drafting remediation recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to mature DLP programs and train stakeholders on using BigID dashboards and tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Master's degree and 6+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or 15+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with cybersecurity tools, including Microsoft Purview, Trellix, or Tenable
- Experience creating playbooks for incident response, performing governance audits, and designing scalable data protection strategies in hybrid environments
- Knowledge of federal data protection frameworks
- Knowledge of managing DLP ecosystems, including integration across endpoints, networks, and SaaS environments
- Knowledge of complex compliance and privacy frameworks, including execution of technical and organizational solutions
- Possession of excellent analytical skills for assessing data risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- CISSP, CISM, or related Security Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
