The Opportunity:
The Associate International Product Manager, Sequencing Sample Preparation, is responsible for supporting the comprehensive global strategy for the sample prep solutions, specifically DNA-Seq portfolio. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving commercial success while building deep expertise in next-generation sequencing applications.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The key accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Product Strategy & Execution: Lead commercial activities on dedicated product development projects within the DNA-Seq portfolio, ensuring customer focus throughout the development lifecycle and driving on-market product success.
- Requirement Prioritization & Market Intelligence: Gather, refine, and prioritize product requirements across customer segments; identify and monitor competitor activities, threats, and opportunities to develop strategic responses.
- Global Commercial Enablement: Design and implement marketing tools and collateral (brochures, training manuals, technical guides, branding guidelines, congress materials, and digital content) to support global commercial teams and affiliate partners.
- Cross-Affiliate Alignment: Provide substantial technical commercial support and guidance to international affiliates on portfolio strategy and customer engagements; collaborate to localize messaging and positioning as needed.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Contribute to International Business Team (IBT) meetings and partner with R&D, field teams, and operations to ensure technical specifications align with customer expectations and market demands.
- Market & Customer Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global market trends and laboratory needs within appropriate market segments; synthesize field intelligence to continuously refine product positioning and drive platform adoption.
- Team Leadership: Create and foster strong team spirit, serve as product champion, and motivate cross-functional stakeholders toward shared commercial goals.
Who are you:
The following are requirements for the individual in this position:
- University degree in Marketing, Science, Business, or related technical discipline
- 1–2 years of sales, marketing or product management experience in life sciences, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceutical industry. Experience with sequencing products, specifically DNA-Seq library prep, is a plus.
- Strong preference for candidates with practical NGS experience and demonstrated understanding of laboratory workflows and customer needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in a complex global matrix environment.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset with proactive ability to co-create solutions across internal and external stakeholders.
