Solidifi is looking for an innovative, experienced, and talented product leader that is driven based on results and motivated to champion Solidifi’s product vision forward. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in the valuations industry and a proven track record of integrating emerging technology and AI-driven solutions. The right candidate will lead the development and enhancement of our products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers while ensuring alignment to company mission, goals, and objectives, and making data-based decisions that drive business growth and innovation.
While reporting to the VP, Product, you will also work with various departments and subsidiaries under the Solidifi and Real Matters’ umbrella of companies and play a key role in the process improvement of how we do business, as well as the implementation of new products and programs. This is a fast paced and high-volume environment, so the successful candidate will have a passion and drive towards achieving organizational goals with independence and autonomy.
This posting is for a Product Manager role with junior level experience. This individual will have accountability for specific product areas as assigned supporting Solidifi’s product vision. The role sits within the Solidifi Product Strategy Team and is a critical role between the business, technology teams, and all internal and external clients and partners reporting to the VP, Product, and working alongside senior product managers who will coach you. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and the people who do well here are curious, organized, and unafraid to ask questions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and communication of product vision, strategy, and roadmap priorities for assigned product areas, ensuring alignment with Solidifi’s goals and product direction.
- Help design, implement, and monitor new products, programs, and workflow improvements that support Solidifi / Real Matters’ appraisal product and strategic vision.
- Own assigned product areas from discovery through rollout, with senior product leadership guidance, and contribute practical ideas that improve business outcomes, field professional experience, operational efficiency, first-time quality, and customer value.
- Translate field, operations, reviewer, and customer feedback into clear problem statements, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and testable product recommendations.
- Participate in interviews, job shadowing, focus groups, and feedback loops with appraisers, reviewers, operations teams, customers, and internal partners to understand pain points and validate real-world needs.
- Analyze defect, revision, turn-time, adoption, quality, and workflow data to identify process breaks, size opportunities, track KPIs, and support data-based product decisions.
- Support discovery and competitive analysis across appraisal feature sets, workflow, usability, technology, and customer experience to help define product differentiation and priorities.
- Partner with senior product managers, technology, design, operations, sales, and other stakeholders to define scope, prioritize work, resolve questions, and support delivery of product initiatives.
- Develop and present requirements, process flows, mockups, prototypes, and business recommendations with openness to feedback and iteration.
- Support POCs, pilots, test-and-learn programs, and AI-assisted appraisal workflow experiments, including measurement of results, risks, user adoption, and lessons learned.
- Help ensure product decisions consider industry regulations, quality standards, operational controls, and responsible use of AI and emerging technology.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, validation, sign-off, training materials, internal communications, and launch readiness activities before and after rollout.
- Facilitate and support operational feature launches and new client or feature implementations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement discussions to evaluate what worked, what changed, and where the product or process should evolve next.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in product, product operations, business analysis, appraisal operations, quality control, or a related mortgage / lending role where you helped improve how work gets done.
- Mortgage, home equity, real estate, financial services, banking, or appraisal industry experience.
- Familiarity with the appraisal process, appraiser network experience, or valuation workflow, with a practical understanding of what makes field professional, reviewer, customer, and operations experiences easier or harder.
- Comfort working with data, including the ability to pull information, question what it means, identify patterns, and support recommendations with evidence.
- Ability to translate business needs, field feedback, operational pain points, and customer requirements into clear documentation, requirements, and recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field professionals, internal stakeholders, technology partners, and business leaders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions, learn quickly, and work through ambiguity.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team including Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Finance, Organizational Effectiveness, and other business partners.
- Understanding of KPIs, OKRs, and product or program metrics, with an interest in using data to measure success and guide priorities.
- Genuine curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technology, with a practical sense of where technology can improve appraisal workflows and where human judgment remains important.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Direct appraisal industry experience as an appraiser, appraisal operations team member, AMC team member, appraisal reviewer, or valuation technology professional.
- Exposure to appraisal quality control, collateral review, underwriting support, compliance review, audit, or mortgage lending quality standards.
- Familiarity with UAD, UCDP, GSE appraisal requirements, appraisal modernization, or other appraisal data and compliance standards.
- Experience supporting product discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, user acceptance testing, launch readiness, or operational rollouts.
- Experience working with or improving workflows that support first-time quality, intelligent assignment, appraiser performance, customer experience, or operational efficiency.
- Working knowledge of analytics tools, Atlassian, Samanage, or equivalent product, workflow, or reporting tools.
- Experience supporting AI, automation, or data-driven workflow improvements in mortgage, lending, real estate, appraisal, title, or financial services.
- Ability to synthesize information from customers, field professionals, operations, and data into concise recommendations that help teams make decisions.
