The position independently leads analytical projects from problem definition through data acquisition, modeling, interpretation, and presentation. It combines financial judgment with technical capabilities in statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for financial and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Financial and Performance Analytics
  • Lead complex analyses explaining financial and operational performance, including year-over-year changes, budget-to-actual variances, revenue and expense trends, productivity, utilization, capacity, reimbursement, and other key drivers.
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready summaries, dashboards, and recommendations that connect detailed analysis to strategic and operational decisions.
  • Support end-to-end financial assessment of strategic opportunities in close partnership with the Strategy Office and Finance.
  • Build complex financial models and supports development of strategic recommendations, working with the Strategy Office to present findings to senior leadership and inform go/no-go decisions; also supports post-investment performance tracking for strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Strategy Office as a financial thought partner, helping shape strategic recommendations and applying analytical rigor to decision making.
  • Predictive Modeling and Statistical Analysis
  • Develop and evaluate predictive models supporting financial forecasting, patient volume, capacity utilization, reimbursement, labor requirements, resource consumption, and operational performance.
  • Select analytical techniques based on the business question, available data, assumptions, and intended use of results.
  • Communicate model assumptions, limitations, confidence levels, and results in language financial and operational stakeholders can understand and use.
  • Identify when statistical or predictive analysis adds value and when a simpler financial or operational methodology is more appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Business Administration, or other quantitative discipline required.
  • 5 years experience in analytics within healthcare or another complex, multi-entity organization.
  • 5 years experience working with SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Python, or other data.
