The Mission Software Solutions business delivers customized and off-the-shelf software solutions to Defence, Intelligence and other Government sectors. The business also builds capabilities that can be used for a wide range of applications in both traditional and non-traditional environments; providing leadership in the advancement of technological modernisation of complex enterprises within Government.
The Opportunity
Leidos Australia is seeking multiple experienced Network Administrators to join our GEOSPACES program, supporting advanced national security technology in a secure, high-compliance government environment. You’ll help keep mission-essential network services available, secure and performing reliably.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points, supporting the availability and performance of critical data and voice networks.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident response, troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues and restoring services with minimal operational disruption.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies and monitoring, to protect services from unauthorised access and cyber threats.
- Configure network devices, monitor performance and capacity, identify opportunities for optimisation, and maintain accurate network topology, configuration and procedural documentation.
About You
You’ll bring practical network administration experience and the technical capability to troubleshoot and maintain enterprise networks in a secure operational environment.
Essential:
- Experience with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto or Fortinet.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting firewalls, network security devices and associated security policies.
- Capability in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues using network analysis and monitoring tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate technical documentation covering network configurations, topology and operational procedures.
Advantageous:
- Experience providing Level 2 or Level 3 support within complex, secure or high-availability network environments.
- Experience supporting network performance monitoring, capacity management and optimisation activities.
You don’t need to meet every criterion. If your experience aligns with most of what we’re looking for, we encourage you to apply.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
Certain roles may be subject International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements which may limit persons who hold dual nationality with certain proscribed countries from accessing material, or in the case of dual Australian-U.S citizens, may require the candidate to obtain a U.S. Persons Abroad authorisation from the U.S DDTC.
