About the Role

Build and operate the security infrastructure behind an enterprise AI platform. As an early engineer focused on platform security, you will create reliable, self-service systems that help engineering teams ship secure services and support the platform's growth.

What You'll Do

  • Design secure, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure that protects customer data and supports AI model serving.
  • Build secure service templates, libraries, Terraform policies, and automation that make new services production-ready by default.
  • Own infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices, including reusable modules and policy-as-code.
  • Improve alerting, detection, secrets management, identity and access management, and automated remediation across CI/CD and developer workflows.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, and product teams to implement technical controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements.
  • Participate in security on-call and improve observability, runbooks, and incident response.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 4 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, with meaningful security experience or a strong interest in security engineering.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GCP or AWS, including networking, compute, and IAM.
  • Production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes, plus secure container deployment and service mesh practices.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or another systems-oriented language, and experience building developer-facing tools and automation.
  • Strong CS fundamentals, clear communication, and experience operating production infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with observability, incident response, and AI-assisted developer tools is valuable.
  • Experience building infrastructure or security capabilities from the ground up in a growing company is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $200,000 to $330,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
