Position Overview: As a Business Operations Analyst I you will conduct strategic and quantitative analysis. This analysis will be of financial and business data, used for decision-making, identification of improvement initiatives, budgeting, and business performance analysis. You will perform work under direct supervision, handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher level staff. Beginner to working level knowledge of the subject matter is required.
This position is located on-site in Fort Mill, SC reporting to Pike Engineering leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Perform statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership
- Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas to ensure data accuracy and integrity and update data as needed
- Write queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects
- Interpret data to identify business trends, and conduct root cause analysis of business problems or suggest areas for process improvement
- Analyze and test current processes and systems to determine effectiveness and efficiency
- Collect data and perform root cause analysis of issues or problems and propose solutions according to the current and future needs of the business
- Oversee process change implementation and testing and reviews changes to ensure they result in measurable organizational improvements
- Support the development and delivery of training programs or presentations communicating process revisions to the organization
- Analyze financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals
- Report current or expected financial performance and create financial models to guide decision analysis
- Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements
Minimum Requirements:
- Regular attendance is required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or approved equivalent
- 0–2 years of experience in business and operational analysis, reporting, or data centric applications
- Knowledge of financial reporting, operational metrics, and presenting data to diverse audiences
- Collaborate as part of a team-based project environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools and automation techniques
- Valid driver's license and vehicle suitable for business use (mileage reimbursement may apply)
Other Abilities: • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Oracle is preferred
