Responsibilities

About the role:

The Business Automation Analyst - Business Solutions & Transformation focuses on evaluating and identifying opportunities where automation, AI agents, and process redesign can create meaningful business impact.

In this role you will:

  • Assess current business processes to identify automation and agentic AI opportunities
  • Facilitate process discovery and process mapping activities
  • Evaluate operational pain points and inefficiencies
  • Recommend automation, AI, process improvement, or data-driven solutions
  • Build business cases and value assessments for transformation initiatives
  • Partner with business teams to prioritize opportunities and define future-state processes

Qualifications

What makes you an ideal candidate?

  • Knowledge of automation assessment, lifecycle methodologies and documentation best practices
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification preferred
  • Automation certification in Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism or UiPath preferred
  • Knowledge of GM Financial or another auto finance company core business functions, policies and procedures a plus
  • Experience with various automation and productivity tools
  • Skilled in the use of low code technology and the development of automation solutions
  • Active listener and strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
  • Proactive in building relationships with business partners
  • Organized and willing to do administrative tasks
  • Ability to use good research, data, and judgment when solving problems or making recommendations
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity in the management of work demands and pressures
  • Ability to continually pursue personal development
  • Committed to being a self-starter, able to operate efficiently within given parameters and deadlines

  • Proven track record of solving difficult problems in an enterprise environment

Work Experience and Education

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst or similar role required
  • Proven track record of solving difficult problems in an enterprise environment required
  • 1 year working on automation or other technology initiatives as a business analyst or other applicable role preferred
  • Experience working with both the business and IT to deliver business value preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
