Job Title: QA Engineer – Data Testing Location: Remote Experience: 5–7 Years Contract: W2 (No C2C) Visas: Any visa Duration: Long-term contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance and a solid understanding of data testing and validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in functional testing, database testing, SQL queries, and data quality validation.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across applications and databases.

Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

Perform ETL/data pipeline testing and verify data transformation and migration processes.

Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineering teams to resolve issues.

Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills:

5–7 years of hands-on QA/testing experience.

Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.

Good proficiency in SQL and database testing.

Experience with data validation, data quality testing, and ETL testing.

Understanding of relational databases and data workflows.

Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

Experience with data warehouses or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS.

Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

This is a remote position.
