We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in Boston, MA to lead heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contract requirements.

The Project Manager will work closely with Owners, Construction Managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership while providing direction and mentorship to project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily project operations and oversee project performance, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including CPM, look-ahead, and recovery schedules.
  • Coordinate field activities, sequencing, resources, and project milestones.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement, buy-outs, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, WIP, billing, change orders, and profitability.
  • Review and administer contracts, drawings, specifications, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Owners, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project coordination meetings and resolve field, scheduling, and constructability issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, QA/QC, contractual, and company requirements.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, project documentation, correspondence, and project controls.
  • Coordinate punch lists, inspections, testing, close-out documentation, and final turnover.
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and other project staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Heavy Civil Construction background with 7+ year’s field experience
  • Highly proficient in standard business software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications for all disciplines of work.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling program is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation programs is a plus.
  • OSHA 62-hour certification, or OSHA 30-hour certification with ability to complete the additional 32 hours
  • PE license and/or CCM certification preferred.

Minimum Salary

USD $155,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary

USD $205,000.00/Yr.
