Associate Software Engineer - Java

About the team

Our Software Engineering team in Poland is a key part of Syncron’s global product organization, building and evolving cloud-based SaaS solutions used by leading manufacturers worldwide.

What would you do?

• Improving existing codebase, including tests.

• Implementing new features in Java and Kotlin.

• Taking part in significant restructuring and architectural changes.

• Code review.

• Performance engineering, including benchmarks and tools.

• Communicating and documenting technical designs and architectural decisions.

• Implementing and maintaining support for new and evolving technologies.

Who you are? / What we expect:

• 1 - 3 years of experience in software development.

• Fluent English.

• Good understanding of Java and Spring Boot fundamentals, with hands-on experience in developing backend applications.

• Basic understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts.

• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code following established coding practices.

• Being self-driven in a remote and geographically distributed team.

• Keen interest in understanding complex domain

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

The icing on the cake:

• Exposure to or experience with JVM-based languages other than Java.

• Basic understanding or interest in functional programming concepts.

• Exposure to AWS services (ECS, S3, Lambda, Batch, RDS).

• Experience with or understanding of Hazelcast.
