Full description

Design Hire is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a background in tenant improvements, design-build delivery, commercial interior buildouts, and ground-up construction who can successfully manage budgets, schedules, clients, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial construction projects from planning, preconstruction, and procurement through construction, turnover, and closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation while proactively resolving project issues.
  • Utilize Procore to manage project documentation, reporting, scheduling, communication, and overall project workflow.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction project management experience supporting commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing tenant improvement projects, commercial interior buildouts, design-build projects, and new building construction.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, contract administration, and change order management.
  • Proficiency with Procore required.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining client relationships and project profitability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
