At our Brossard manufacturing site, every customer project comes with its own technical requirements and challenges. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization of 3 supervisors and approximately 33 project engineers. Together, you will deliver engineered-to-order Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboard solutions.

As a member of the site’s cross-functional leadership team, you will work closely with Global Supply Chain, Middle Office, and commercial teams to turn customer needs into practical solutions. You will provide clear direction to the engineering organization while supporting the team’s day-to-day performance, technical development, and continuous improvement.

You will also play an active role in the transformation of the Brossard site, helping evolve the way projects are engineered, executed, and delivered to customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, support, and develop 3 supervisors and approximately 33 project engineers, fostering clear goals, accountability, recognition, engagement, and well-being across the team.
  • Plan and organize engineering activities based on project demand, complexity, priorities, and the skills required to deliver effectively.
  • Manage the department’s workload and capacity while strengthening flexibility and developing broader capabilities across the team.
  • Use visual Short Interval Management and key performance indicators to identify priorities, address performance gaps, and support timely decision-making.
  • Maintain technical quality, service levels, and compliance with project requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle, in line with product definitions and design intent.
  • Build the team’s technical capabilities by identifying development priorities and aligning training plans with the skills matrix and competency targets.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives that strengthen engineering efficiency, quality, productivity, and the experience of both internal and external customers.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Significant experience in engineering, with a good understanding of manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Experience leading teams and supporting people in their development.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with team members, leaders, and customers.
  • The ability to set priorities, make thoughtful decisions, and deliver on commitments.
  • Experience facilitating discussions, finding common ground, and navigating different perspectives.
  • A collaborative approach and an interest in learning and improving how the team works.
  • Availability to travel occasionally for training.
