Full description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of complex manufacturing projects while serving as a senior resource in the development of project management capabilities across the organization. This role requires a demonstrated ability to lead through influence, develop others, build effective processes, and take ownership of increasingly complex initiatives.

Location: Orrville, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage project activities related to manufacturing and assembly operations
  • Establish and standardize project management processes, tools, metrics, and best practices to improve execution, communication, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Serve as a senior leader on complex, high-visibility projects, driving accountability and alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Partner with Project Engineers and technical leadership to plan, execute, forecast, prioritize, and assess project work
  • Track and execute approval of subcontractor deliverables
  • Develop and manage purchase orders, change orders, and contract documentation
  • Lead key project initiatives, including development of supporting documentation and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and strengthen schedule, cost, and quality performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external vendors
  • Organize and track engineering and licensing documentation
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to Project team members
  • Support non‑technical logistics for permanent staff and contractors, including integration with Holtec software tools

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • 6+ years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multi‑task effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive and reliable work style
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, error‑free documentation and follow established processes
  • Ability to work effectively within diverse and challenging team environments

Willingness and ability to learn and adapt in a technical manufacturing environment

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus but not required.
  • Experience assessing multidisciplinary engineering work packages
