As a Software Engineer at Waters Romania (Brasov), you will work on projects critical to our business needs.

Waters Corporation is looking for a Sr Interaction Designer (Contract) to join a dynamic, distributed team of designers and developers creating software that presents the capabilities and controls of scientific specialty measurement instruments for a wide range of end-user personas.

As a Sr Interaction Designer, the candidate must be passionate about all things UX; striving for simplicity eliminating any areas of complexity and confusion. The Sr Interaction Designer will work in a dynamic environment, designing for a range of target platforms, including touch-only interface and fully responsive applications for desktop and mobile.

The candidate will work collaboratively with the product owner and the design lead to understand requirement needs and then work further with design and development teams to get the requirements into marketable customer-facing products.

Candidates should feel comfortable jumping in on a large project already in motion. Key successes will center around fast ramp up, clear communication and excellent delivery.

Responsibilities

As a Senior UX Designer you will:

• Leverage AI tools and techniques for quality output and maximum efficiency

• Follow and help extend and document established design language.

• Work in fast paced design/dev environment against aggressive timelines.

• Create prototypes for components, pages, and multi-page workflows.

• Thoroughly document prototyped components and pages into development spec documents per established templates.

• Collaborate with design and development teams on visual and interaction design details.

As a team member you will:

• participate in all team meetings and ceremonies in direct collaboration with other sites, provide input and feedback, take ownership on identified improvements

• actively participate in learning and sharing activities either during informal or formal training and demos

• demonstrate continuous technical improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design and proven relevant experience

• Experience in Adobe Suite of design tools and 2+ Figma experience required.

• A passion for designing excellence and a thorough understanding of the craft.

• Experience with interaction design, data visualization and general user interface design. Preferably designing for a range of platforms.

• Experience working across functions and closely with teams – the ability to ignore ego and focus on iterating to the best solution.

• Experience interviewing users and conducting guerrilla usability testing.
