Full description

Oracle is seeking a senior individual contributor Lead Principal Product Marketer to own developer product marketing for Oracle AI Database within the Database Product Marketing organization. This role owns the positioning, messaging, and content that make Oracle AI Database a platform developers choose for building modern, AI driven applications. You will report to the Vice President of Trust and Developer Product Marketing. This is a product marketing role: you own positioning, messaging, content, launches, and campaigns for developer audiences, and you partner closely with Oracle's developer relations team, which leads direct community engagement and advocacy.

Why this role matters now. Coding with AI, often called vibe coding, is changing who builds software and how fast. Developers and business users alike can now generate working applications in hours, and they choose their tools based on speed, simplicity, and the quality of the experience. Yet the applications they build often stall on the way to production because enterprises cannot trust them with real data, real users, and real compliance requirements. Oracle has an opportunity to tell a differentiated story to developers: start fast, build at AI speed, and land on a database platform that takes your application all the way to production. This role builds and delivers the developer half of that story.

As an IC5, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence without direct reports. You will partner daily with developer relations, product management, OCI developer marketing, and community teams, and your work will show up in developer events, tutorials, launches, and the moments where a developer decides whether Oracle AI Database is worth their time.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Craft differentiated messaging that speaks to developers in their own terms: what they can build, how fast they can start, and why the platform will not get in their way.
  • Connect the developer story to the AI wave: show how developers can build at AI speed and still ship applications that enterprises will run in production.
  • Support major launches by writing developer facing messaging and content, and coordinating deliverables across contributors.
  • Build marketing programs and campaigns that grow developer awareness and free tier adoption
  • Partner with the developer relations team on community reach, equipping them with the messaging, launch content, and proof points they carry into the channels where developers live.
  • Define and track the developer funnel, from first touch to free tier signup to production adoption, and use the data to steer content and program investment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product marketing, developer relations, developer marketing, or technical marketing for developer platforms or enterprise cloud software.
  • Genuine credibility with developers: you have built with databases, cloud services, or developer tools, and you can read and write enough code to create and demo your own examples.
  • Deep familiarity with how developers evaluate and adopt tools, including free tiers, documentation, community, and self service motions.
  • Proven track record as a senior individual contributor who drives outcomes through influence in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Launch experience for developer facing products, including messaging, content creation, and event execution.
  • Strong communication skills: a clear writer, an engaging presenter, and comfortable on stage in front of technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical orientation: comfortable defining funnel and adoption metrics and making prioritization decisions from data.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
