Senior Engineer- Android

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to build the SDKs and libraries that power Conviva's data collection on Android. You will own how video, app, and agent analytics data is captured from Android mobile, Android TV, and Fire TV devices, and you will turn functional requirements into easy-to-integrate products that our customers rely on at massive scale. This is a hands-on engineering role: you take a problem from idea to production, work closely with customers and the Integration team, and operate with a high degree of ownership and independence.

What Success Will Look Like:

• Build Conviva SDKs and libraries on Android, including Android TV and Fire TV, following best practices and exposing easy-to-integrate APIs.

• Collect agent analytics data, capturing interactions with AI agents inside Android apps so they can be linked to real business results.

• Collect video analytics data by instrumenting streaming players and playback experiences to capture quality, performance, and engagement signals.

• Collect app analytics data, capturing how users interact with Android applications so customers can understand behavior, performance, and outcomes.

• Build the advertisement monitoring solution to support ads streaming on mobile and smart TV.

• Take ownership of solutions end to end, and be responsible for translating functional requirements into a product solution or offering.

• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.

• Work closely with customers and the Integration team during initial deployment, and continue to support and sustain the features afterward.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and development teams to deliver quickly and continuously.

Who You Are & What You've Done: .

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.

• 4-6 years of experience building Android applications, SDKs, and APIs.

• Solid understanding of Java and Kotlin programming concepts.

• Strong CS fundamentals, including system design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experienced working in small teams and delivering quickly and continuously.

• A fast learner of new product domains and technologies. You work independently on product features and sustain existing ones.

• A great problem solver with innovative ideas. You resolve issues quickly and bring them to closure.

• A clear communicator who is comfortable working directly with customers and integration teams.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Hands-on experience with AI agents, Mobile applications, online video platforms (OVP), streaming video analytics, or digital analytics.

• Experience with app analytics, or with instrumenting AI-powered products and agents.

• Experience working with a global engineering team across time zones.
