As a Technical PM you will be responsible for;
- Lead embedded product development projects from concept, design, validation, and production release.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate activities across hardware, software, mechanical, PCB layout, component engineering, production test, and certification teams.
- Facilitate Agile development processes and ensure alignment between engineering teams and business objectives.
- Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Test, and external suppliers to support successful product launches.
- Manage project communications, status reporting, and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by external vendors, contractors, and offshore development partners as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product development processes and execution efficiency.
- Participate in stage-gate reviews and ensure project readiness for key development milestones.
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of project or program management experience
- PMP/ PMI-ACP/ CSM certification desired
- Experience in establishing and/or optimizing product development
- Experience taking embedded products from concept through to production
- Experience coordinating with teams using the agile development methodology
- Experience developing detailed project plans consisting of the following: detailed schedules, budget, risk/risk mitigation, staffing allocation and planning
- Experience planning and coordinating projects with cross functional teams (quality, supply chain, production, production test, offshore board houses)
- Experience managing external & offshore contractors desired
- Familiar with ISO development processes/procedures desired
- Familiar with working with a gate model development environment a plus
- Familiar with the development activities/processes required by the following disciplines: hardware, software, mechanical, layout, component engineering, production test and certification
Salary Range: $95K-$130K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
