The Power BI Lead Developer will design and develop end-to-end BI dashboards, reports, and data models while collaborating with data engineers on ETL/ELT pipelines. They are also responsible for optimizing report performance, managing data governance, and overseeing Power BI Service administration.

Job Title: Power BI Lead Developer

3 Days Onsite in a week
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end design and development of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
- Collaborate with data engineers to design efficient ETL/ELT pipelines feeding BI models (SQL Server / Oracle)
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable BI solutions
- Optimize report performance
- Own data governance, security, and compliance for BI assets
- Manage Power BI Service administration
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements and present insights
- Stay current with the Power BI / Microsoft Fabric roadmap and evaluate new features for adoption
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in BI/data analytics, with 5+ years focused on Power BI development
- Expert-level DAX and Power Query (M) skills
- Strong data modeling experience
- Proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Experience administering Power BI Service
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of developers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience with CI/CD for BI deployments (Azure DevOps, Git integration)
- Microsoft BI/Fabric certifications (PL-300, DP-600)
