.NET / DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer / DevOps Engineer to join our Application Development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications that enable critical business functions across insurance, customer service, and operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in the Microsoft technology stack, applies modern software engineering and DevOps practices, and collaborates effectively with product owners, business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and development teams.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid—three days onsite and two days remote each week.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop valuable new features and enhancements using object-oriented programming principles and Agile Scrum practices.
  • Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, leaders, architects, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into scalable, well-architected technical solutions.
  • Contribute throughout the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance, reliability, and throughput.
  • Maintain high quality through unit and regression testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Use Agile delivery and collaboration tools, including Jira, to plan work and track progress.
  • Collaborate across multiple Agile Scrum teams to coordinate dependencies and deliver solutions on time.
  • Communicate technical designs, tradeoffs, and implementation plans clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Continuously expand your technical knowledge through hands-on learning, paired programming, and team collaboration.

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency in object-oriented design and development using C# and .NET.
  • Experience with .NET Framework and/or modern .NET, including .NET Core or .NET 8.
  • Strong knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and RESTful services.
  • Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio and Git-based source control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Substantial experience designing and delivering custom software applications.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of enterprise application architecture and software design patterns.
  • Experience developing and supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems operating 24/7.
  • Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or other customer-facing business applications.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or applying AI capabilities within software solutions.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$109,500.00 - $146,200.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
