The position

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll provide commercial and financial support to the business through robust analysis, financial modelling and clear, insightful communication. Applying a strategic and analytical lens, you’ll support key financial and business objectives across VMCH.

Initially focusing on Residential Aged Care and Care At Home, you’ll play an important role in strengthening budget modelling, optimising financial systems and delivering timely commercial insights to support business performance.

The responsibilities

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial models and analysis across VMCH’s aged care businesses.
  • Analyse regulatory reform, funding changes, financial trends and sector performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance, operational teams and senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights and support business decision-making.
  • Analyse complex business data and develop meaningful reporting and financial insights.
  • Provide commercial analysis for strategic initiatives, business cases, major expenditure, developments and mergers and acquisitions.

What’s required

  • Bachelor of Business (Commerce) degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CPA, CA, CFA or MBA/relevant Master’s qualification, or currently working towards.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years’ experience in a similar role, including commercial finance, financial modelling, project evaluation and/or M&A assessment.
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated experience analysing complex data and developing data visualisations.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
