InterNetX is part of the IONOS Group SE and has been developing innovative solutions for domains, hosting, and encryption since 1998. As an Internet Service Provider with approximately 10 million managed domains, InterNetX is one of the top providers in the market. The heart of domain management is AutoDNS, supported by a distributed landscape of microservices, interfaces to registries, and specialized business systems operating in a 24/7 high-availability environment. To reinforce our agile development team at the Regensburg location, we are looking for a dedicated individual to actively contribute to AutoDNS – either in backend, frontend, or both areas.

Tasks

• Develop and expand scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot (partly PHP) in the areas of domain, server, and certificate management, as well as integrate external APIs.

• Create user interfaces and components for the AutoDNS web platform using Vue.js and JavaScript, ensuring high usability standards.

• Write unit and integration tests, review merge requests, and help shape CI/CD pipelines via GitLab and Kubernetes.

• Analyze errors using logs and databases and sustainably resolve root causes.

• Contribute to functional and technical enhancements (e.g., new regulatory requirements, billing, monitoring, and platform stability).

• Actively use and shape modern AI tools in daily workflows (e.g., AI coding assistants for refactoring, testing, code reviews, and custom AI agents).

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to computer science (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics) with the ability to work alongside your studies.

• Backend experience with Java and Spring / Spring Boot, confident handling of relational databases, and basic knowledge of REST/web services.

• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a framework such as Vue.js or React.

• Basic knowledge of Git and interest in working with GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

• Curiosity about applying AI tools in daily development work and a critical mindset towards AI-generated results.

• Structured, goal-oriented, and independent working style, strong team spirit, and good communication skills.

• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

• Advantageous: Knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch, microservice architecture, database optimization, or initial experience with DNS/domain administration.
