As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

As part of the Engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring the hotel's facilities, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead the daily engineering operations while working closely with colleagues across all departments to deliver a seamless guest and associate experience. The team is responsible for preventative maintenance, regulatory compliance, utility management, and the upkeep of all hotel equipment and building systems.

YOUR ROLE

As Engineering Manager, you will help create a safe, reliable, and exceptional environment for guests and associates by ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of all hotel facilities and equipment. Through proactive planning, preventative maintenance programs, and strong leadership, you will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by maximizing operational efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and upholding Rosewood's standards of excellence. You will collaborate closely with hotel leadership, operational departments, contractors, and external partners to support the property's long-term performance and guest satisfaction.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage engineering work orders and maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with guests and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor utilities consumption and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost control.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to engineering associates while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, equipment failures, and operational issues to protect guests, associates, and hotel assets.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You have strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering operations, including building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and maintenance practices.
  • You are a confident leader who inspires teams, develops talent, and promotes a collaborative working environment.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and can build effective relationships with guests, colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate a high level of responsibility, professionalism, and commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • You hold relevant qualifications in engineering or a related discipline, with experience in a luxury hospitality environment and certifications in areas such as fire safety and first aid being highly advantageous.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
