FSE / Project Manager

Field Service Engineer / Project Manager Location: Home-Based (UK) Hemel Hempstead

At Agfa Radiology Solutions, we're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Field Service Engineer / Project Manager to support our growing portfolio of digital radiology solutions across the UK and Ireland.

This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, playing a key role in delivering cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technology that directly supports patient care.

You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting radiology equipment while leading customer projects from initial handover through to successful completion.

What You'll Be Doing

Field Service Engineering

• Install, commission and maintain Agfa imaging systems and associated ICT infrastructure
• Diagnose and rectify technical faults on customer sites
• Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades and corrective service activities
• Deliver outstanding customer service and technical support
• Produce clear, accurate and professional service reports
• Manage your own workload and daily schedule effectively
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, ISO and WEEE processes
• Support networking, remote diagnostics and healthcare IT integrations
• Build positive relationships with customers, clinical users and internal teams
• Participate in occasional overnight stays and travel where required

Project Management

As part of this role, you will also take ownership of customer projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed objectives.

• Act as the primary customer contact throughout project delivery
• Take ownership of project handovers from Sales and Pre-Sales teams
• Develop project plans, schedules and implementation strategies
• Manage customer expectations and stakeholder communication
• Monitor project budgets and costs
• Control project timelines, quality and deliverables
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Coordinate third-party contractors and suppliers
• Lead project review meetings and escalation activities
• Ensure project documentation is maintained to a high standard
• Support project invoicing and revenue recognition processes
• Drive successful project completion and customer acceptance

What We're Looking For

Essential

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience in: Electronics / Electrical Engineering or ICT / Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering
• Strong ICT, networking and Windows environment knowledge
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Strong planning, organisational and project management capabilities
• Exceptional customer-facing communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

Desirable

• Experience supporting healthcare imaging equipment
• Experience with CR, DR and Mobile X-ray Systems
• Understanding of PACS, RIS and healthcare IT environments
• Experience delivering X-ray room installations and refurbishment projects
• Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent)
• Experience working on electromechanical systems
