PMdigital.ai is looking for a Project Manager to support the Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) Program Office and AFCENT Surgeon General (AFCENT/SG) on the Medical Expeditionary Systems (MEDXS) program. MEDXS provides full life-cycle IM/IT support for the Air Force Medical Service's operational medicine capabilities. That includes the MEDXS Web Portal, the medical Waiver Management System, analytics dashboards, and Theater Medical Information Program–Joint (TMIP-J) applications used by deployed medical forces at garrison and forward locations in the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Location: National Capital Region. Reports routinely to the AFOMIS Offices at Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ), Falls Church, VA.

Position Summary
The Project Manager leads PMdigital.ai's MEDXS team and is the main point of contact with the AFOMIS Portfolio Manager, the COR, and the Chief Technology Officer. You'll run the program to deliver 97% system availability, on-time reporting, a smooth 60-day transition-in, and fully staffed operations at garrison and deployed locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Contractor Focal Point for all Government correspondence. Respond to Government inquiries within 12 hours.
- Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan (PMP) following IEEE/EIA 12207.1. Incorporate Government revisions within 10 business days.
- Produce the Monthly Status/Financial Report. It covers task status, cost and schedule analysis, trends, risks, open issues, and recommended fixes.
- Spot technical, cost, and schedule deviations and recommend fixes within 2 calendar days.
- Lead quarterly program reviews and JOMIS support meetings, including agendas, minutes, action items, and leadership briefings.
- Keep garrison and deployed programs in sync with AFMEDCOM/A6, AFCENT SG CIO, AMC SG CIO, and AFSOC CIO stakeholders.
- Manage staffing to meet contract staffing targets: 50% fill within 10 business days, 95% fill within 45 business days, an 85% rolling fill rate, Key Personnel vacancies filled within 15 business days, and turnover no higher than 20% per year.
- Oversee OCONUS mobilization, including SPOT/LOA processing, visas, host-nation clearances, and deployment readiness for CENTCOM and EUCOM sites.
- Oversee travel requests, the Mission-Essential Contractor Services Plan, logistics, Government Furnished Property inventory, and warranty and license tracking.
- Keep the MEDXS Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) on track with the engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of directly relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing the development and sustainment of:
- medical waiver workflow systems and medical analytics dashboards in an enterprise environment
- integrated IM/IT testing capability in physical and virtual environments
- on-site and remote medical operations support for TMIP systems at deployed locations
- Proven experience managing multi-node OCONUS deployments and SPOT/LOA processes in CENTCOM and/or EUCOM.
- DCWF Work Role 802 (IT Project Manager), Intermediate proficiency per DoDM 8140.03.
- OCONUS Readiness Requirements (below).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AFOMIS, AFMEDCOM, JOMIS PMO, or the Defense Health Agency.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
OCONUS Readiness Requirements (Mandatory on Day 1)
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (T3). Clearance verification will be required.
- Valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Proven experience managing personnel deployments, using the Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT), and handling host-nation theater clearance/DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS AORs.
