This role leads cross-functional coordination to minimize material obsolescence, identify and escalate supply chain risks, and communicate recovery plans between the global supply chain organization and plant material managers.

The Supply Chain Project Manager provides disciplined project leadership across ramp-up, ramp-down, and end-of-life activities, with a strong focus on material availability, run-out timing, risk visibility, stakeholder alignment, and timely execution of recovery actions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Localization Ramp-Up & Ramp-Down Support

· Develop and coordinate material plans for planned sourcing, production, and product changes

· Monitor material availability, inventory exposure, transition timing, and open commitments throughout each project

· Align Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Sales, and plant stakeholders on project milestones and material requirements

2. End-of-Life Project Leadership

· Lead cross-functional teams during end-of-life projects to minimize the creation of obsolete material

· Establish material run-out plans using demand, inventory, purchase orders, supplier commitments, and production requirements

· Coordinate actions to consume, cancel, return, transfer, or otherwise mitigate excess and obsolete inventory

· Track project actions, decisions, material exposure, and financial impact through completion

3. Supply Chain Risk Management & Escalation

· Assess supply chain risks identified during product transitions and ongoing material reviews

· Determine material run-out timing and the potential impact to production, customer commitments, and project milestones

· Escalate material run-out timing and critical supply risks to the global supply chain team

· Maintain clear ownership, mitigation actions, target dates, and escalation status for identified risks

4. Recovery Plan Communication & Execution

· Communicate recovery plans from the global supply chain team to plant material managers

· Translate recovery plans into clear plant-level actions, owners, timing, and expected outcomes

· Monitor execution, validate progress, and report changes to recovery timing or material availability

· Maintain consistent communication among global supply chain, sales, purchasing, suppliers, and plant teams until risk closure

Qualifications

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field

· 5–8+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or project delivery

· 3–5+ years leading complex, cross-functional projects from planning through implementation

· PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or APICS certification preferred

· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with project management and analytics tools preferred

Leadership & Behavioral Competencies

· Strong leadership presence and clear written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

· Structured project planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Results-driven with a focus on execution, accountability, and measurable benefits

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

· Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills

Key Success Metrics

· Ramp-up and ramp-down projects supported with complete, timely material plans

· End-of-life projects completed with minimized excess and obsolete inventory exposure

· Material run-out risks identified early and escalated to the global supply chain team with accurate timing and impact

· Global recovery plans communicated clearly to plant material managers and translated into accountable actions

· Recovery actions tracked through closure with improved material availability and fewer production disruptions

· Effective cross-functional alignment across purchasing, sales, planning, global supply chain, and plant teams
