About the Role
Finance Analysts on the Operational Finance team support AMBA’s sales organization by ensuring accurate and timely reporting on marketing spend and sales performance across multiple distribution channels. This role is responsible for the monthly marketing close, recurring KPI and scorecard reporting, and finance support for sales and call center teams. Finance Analysts collaborate with marketing, sales leadership, and Accounting to track results against budget and identify opportunities for cost savings. As an individual contributor, a Finance Analyst applies financial knowledge and analytical skills to deliver insights, while continuing to develop expertise through collaboration with managers and senior team members.
The Day-to-Day
- Reconcile direct mail and digital marketing invoices monthly, confirming with marketing teams that vendor invoices and related entries reach Accounting.
- Prepare accrual entries for invoice-timing differences and report actuals against forecast and budget, with commentary on variance drivers.
- Produce monthly operating KPI reporting, including call volume, conversion rates, lead counts, headcount, hires, and terminations.
- Build and distribute weekly sales scorecards tracking production and incentive standings.
- Partner with call center teams on performance tracking and the monthly incentive cycle.
- Create and maintain reporting and forecasting models, including sales expense and production forecasts.
- Review business trends and partner with sales and marketing leaders on their monthly results for operation optimization and cost savings.
- Support ongoing initiatives to automate, improve, and streamline the analysis and reporting processes.

Requirements and Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, sales or marketing finance, or FP&A (preferred); insurance or multi-channel sales experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including accruals and month-end close.
- Advanced Excel skills, including building models with lookups, pivot tables, and multi-source workbooks.
- Comfort pulling data from databases and reporting environments; experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar tools (preferred).
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for interaction with teams and senior leadership.
- Ability to meet recurring deadlines and follow through on inputs from teams outside finance.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, adapt to change, and work effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Oracle NetSuite or Hyperion Essbase experience (preferred).
