About the role

As a Senior Software Developer (Java/Kotlin) - Data Migration, you will build a reliable tool to migrate millions of records from SaaS and PHP-based sources into a Java and MongoDB product. We will count on you to own the solution from design through validation, ensuring complete, accurate, consistent, and business-ready data. Along the way, you will get to:

• Build efficient extraction, transformation, loading, and batch-processing mechanisms for large data volumes.

• Implement validation and reconciliation controls to identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent records and protect data integrity.

• Align data structures and business rules with the target-system team, then validate imported data and application behaviour.

• Identify migration risks, improve performance and reliability, use AI code-generation tools, and communicate progress and challenges.

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years of backend development experience using Java and/or Kotlin, with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.

• Experience with SQL, MongoDB, ORM/ODM concepts, and large-volume data processing.

• Experience with background jobs and batch processing using Spring Batch or a BPMN engine, including failure recovery.

• Knowledge of migration mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, integrity checks, and AI code-generation tools.
