Cespira is a joint venture between Westport and Volvo Group, purpose-built to accelerate the decarbonization of heavy transport through our HPDI™ fuel system technology. Reporting directly to the Director, IT, the Business Analyst & ERP Specialist is responsible for ensuring the continuity, support, documentation, and continuous improvement of Cespira's ERP environment (Oracle JD Edwards) and related core processes. The immediate priority of this role is to mitigate business continuity risks by capturing system knowledge currently held by internal subject matter experts. The successful candidate will lead knowledge transfer activities, document existing processes and system configurations, and ensure that critical ERP knowledge is properly structured, shared, and maintained across the organization. In addition to ERP continuity and support responsibilities, the role will serve as a key driver of business process improvement, helping business leaders identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve data quality, reduce process variation, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration. The position will work with process owners to capture requirements, analyze, and continuously improve critical business processes while preparing the organization for future ERP modernization initiatives. The role operates within an international business environment, collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues across multiple countries and functions.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience supporting and improving ERP-enabled business processes within a manufacturing environment, preferably Tier-1 automotive manufacturing.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, and Finance processes.
  • Experience operating in an IATF 16949-controlled manufacturing environment, with an understanding of process discipline, traceability, change control, and operational governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, business transformation, ERP implementation, upgrade, or optimization initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating process mapping, business requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and organizational change activities.
  • Experience managing relationships with ERP vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders in a multi-site or international environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or practical continuous improvement experience is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Functional knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and its application within manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, and finance operations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, master data management, reporting, and business process controls.
  • Experience supporting testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release management, and change control processes.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing planning, shop floor execution, inventory management, procurement, and supply chain processes within an automotive environment.

ERP Functional Ownership

  • Act as the internal functional authority for the ERP (Oracle JD Edwards) and related business applications.
  • Ensure stable, efficient, and effective use of ERP capabilities across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
  • Lead functional issue resolution and continuous optimization of ERP-supported processes.

ERP Transformation & Governance

  • Lead business readiness activities for ERP enhancements and future modernization initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into sustainable process and system solutions.

  • Serve as the primary functional liaison between business teams, IT, and external ERP service providers.
  • Coordinate support, enhancements, releases, and issue resolution activities.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure deliverables meet business requirements and agreed outcomes.
