About the opportunity
We are looking for an organised and proactive Business Intelligence Coordinator to join our Data Analytics and Governance team on a 1 year fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional who wants to build broad experience across data, reporting, business analysis, process improvement and service delivery. You will support the day to day operation of our BI Service Desk, coordinating requests, maintaining accurate ticket information, following up progress and keeping stakeholders informed.
You’ll connect business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners to clarify needs, prioritise requests and keep work moving. You will also support business analysis, process improvement and data governance to improve data and reporting services.
As our Business Intelligence Coordinator, you will:
- Assess and coordinate incoming BI Service Desk requests against agreed priority guidelines
- Gather and document the technical and business context needed to support investigation and delivery
- Maintain accurate ticket information, including ownership, priority, actions, dependencies and expected delivery dates
- Provide clear and timely updates to requestors and other stakeholders, including when scope or delivery dates change
- Monitor progress with external delivery partners, prepare updates for vendor meetings and follow up agreed actions
- Clarify requirements, resolve blockers and escalate delivery risks, delays or requests requiring senior input
- Support reporting and data governance activities, including forum preparation, action tracking and documentation
- Support discovery, process mapping, impact assessment, solution evaluation and implementation activities
About you
You may be an early career professional or recent graduate. You are naturally organised, curious and comfortable bringing structure to a busy environment.
You will be comfortable managing several requests and deadlines, engaging with internal stakeholders and external vendors. You will bring a customer focused mindset, sound attention to detail and a desire to learn across data, reporting and continuous improvement.
Exposure to business analysis, process improvement service delivery, reporting or project coordination would be desirable. Basic SQL or Power BI knowledge and experience in financial services or insurance would be helpful but are not essential.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Clear communication and confidence following up actions
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, data flows or service requests
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach
- Sound judgement and confidence escalating when needed
- A proactive, adaptable and curious mindset
