Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
- Leads platform and infrastructure sustainment for Red LAN servers, virtualized services, operating environments, storage, accounts, patches, backups, restorations, and system configurations.
- Oversees maintenance execution and approved technical changes; resolves escalated infrastructure issues; and ensures platform readiness supports availability, operational continuity, cybersecurity compliance, and engineering/test activity.
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning systemperformance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
