Our Associate TechOps & Support Engineer Supports the stability, availability, and performance of production environments by monitoring systems, assisting with incident resolution, supporting deployments, and maintaining operational documentation while developing technical expertise under senior guidance.
Responsibilities• Monitor production systems and applications to ensure availability, performance, and timely identification of operational issues.
- Assist with deployment activities, CI/CD pipeline execution, and environment configuration under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), IBM Cloud Pak Stacks , and platform services while resolving routine operational issues.
- Perform first-level incident analysis, troubleshooting, and escalation, while contributing to root cause investigations and post-incident reviews.
- Maintain system documentation, operational runbooks, configuration records, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call support, backup verification, disaster recovery activities, and routine system maintenance to meet service level commitments.
- Collaborate with Development, Quality, Platform Engineering, and Network teams to support stable production operations and continuously improve support processes.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience in Technical Operations, Production Support, System Administration, or a similar technical role.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Windows administration, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), and configuration management.
- Familiarity with IBM Cloud Pak solutions (CP4BA, CP4I, CP4D), Confluent, Elasticsearch, Databases (SQL, DB2, MongoDB, etc.)., and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, identity and access management, backup, disaster recovery, and service reliability concepts.
- Good troubleshooting, incident management complying with the approved SLA/SLO, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple activities, and provide high-quality operational support in a fast-paced production environment.
