Within Cyber Instincts, we’re expanding beyond cybersecurity into software testing and quality assurance. We work with clients across automotive, manufacturing, banking and finance, retail, and healthcare, many of them releasing software faster while facing higher demands on reliability, safety, and security. We’re building our senior bench of test engineers who can make sure what gets shipped actually works, and keeps working. By applying, you join our consultant pool, and we contact you when an assignment matches your profile.

- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Running performance, load, and security-related testing where needed
- Reporting defects clearly and working closely with developers to resolve them
- Testing embedded, vehicle, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems in automotive environments
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Experience with both manual testing and test automation
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, or Postman
- Programming or scripting skills in at least one language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
- Experience working in agile teams and with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Fluent English, spoken and written
A plus, not a requirement:
- Swedish language skills
- ISTQB certification
- Experience with automotive testing (e.g. HIL/SIL, CANoe, vehicle diagnostics, ISO 26262)
- Experience with performance testing (e.g. JMeter, k6) or security testing
- Experience from regulated industries such as banking, healthcare, or the public sector
- Previous consulting experience
This is a Sweden-based role with hybrid or on-site placements at client sites across the country. Applicants must currently reside in Sweden. You’ll be employed or engaged on a freelance basis and placed directly with our clients for the duration of each engagement.
