Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Support network infrastructure for the organization, with a focus on VMware, Juniper, and Microsoft technologies
  • Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and responding to alerts.
  • Administration and implementation of all wireless infrastructure to support the organization.
  • Installation of new remote sites and travelling to remote sites to complete repairs as required.
  • Provide 1st line support team members.
  • Knowledge of network cabling systems and functionality and proven experience with LAN support.
  • Identify problems and errors prior to or when it occurs and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
  • Assist in analyzing, assigning and escalating support calls.
  • Investigate support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
  • Work closely with the Senior Network Engineers to make sure all systems are secure and operational.

Qualifications

Job Specification:

  • Relevant Diploma/Degree in Information Technology
  • 2-3 years’ experience with Juniper or equivalent routing and switching technologies
  • 2-3 years’ experience with Load Balancing or related technologies, Internationally recognized Microsoft Qualification
  • Good understanding of network monitoring, reporting, and alerting
  • Good understanding of network routing and redundancy
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting networks
  • Practical experience in the application of ICT technologies to solve network problems
  • Strong administrative skills.
