Enterprise Performance Management Lead System Administrator

Type of employment:  Sr Manager role, Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

 

 

THE ROLE

As EPM Lead System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of the enterprise performance management platform. You will ensure system stability, security, performance, and data integrity to support accurate and timely planning, budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX reporting, management reporting, and related performance management processes.

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Performance, you will oversee platform administration, user access, model governance, integrations, release management, and production support. You will also contribute hands-on to the finance automation roadmap by enhancing existing models, developing new solutions, and translating business requirements into scalable EPM capabilities for FP&A, Accounting, Data & Analytics, Information Technology, and other stakeholders.

This role requires a service-oriented and detail-focused professional who combines EPM technical expertise with sound financial process knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Platform Administration & Performance: Administer EPM workspaces and models, monitor performance and capacity, optimize calculations and data flows, and coordinate releases, maintenance, recovery, and business continuity.
  • Security & Access: Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, selective access, and data security, and perform regular access reviews in line with internal controls and privacy requirements.
  • Models, Metadata & Reporting: Responsible to monitor any new EPM models and maintenance of existing ones, including also hierarchies, master data, workflows, calculations, dashboards, and standardized reporting solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of EPM model builders, foster collaboration and resilience, allocate work effectively, and build the team’s capabilities to deliver sustainable, high-quality solutions.
  • Data Integration & Quality: Manage automated data pipelines and integrations across source systems, and perform validation and reconciliation controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Financial Cycle Support: Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and close cycles by managing calendars, workflows, periods, data loads, calculations, and deliverables.
  • User Support & Enablement: Manage support tickets, troubleshoot system and data issues, maintain procedures and user guides, and deliver onboarding and training.
  • Enhancements & Governance: Partner with business and technology teams to deliver scalable EPM enhancements, coordinate change control and testing, and enforce governance standards.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant EPM or finance systems certification is considered an asset.

 

Experience:

  • 3 to 5+ years administering, supporting, or developing enterprise performance management, financial planning, or related finance systems.
  • Hands-on Anaplan expertise is strongly preferred, including model building, workspace administration, lists and hierarchies, modules, complex formulas, dashboards, imports and exports, user access, integrations, and production support.
  • Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end Anaplan or comparable EPM solution design, testing, deployment, stabilization, and end-user adoption.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a team of EPM model builders, with a strong ability to foster collaboration, resilience, accountability, and continuous capability building.
  • Practical knowledge of data integrations across EPM and other enterprise source systems, including mapping, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in structured change control, testing, deployment, incident management, and release-management methodologies within a complex, global business environment.

 

 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of EPM administration, including model governance, metadata, hierarchies, security, workflows, audit controls, and application lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of Anaplan architecture, capabilities and limitations, model design, formula logic, workspace administration, integrations, and performance optimization; certification or formal training is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, general accounting, and consolidation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, supported by strong documentation, governance, change management, testing, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and customer-service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and support stakeholders across Finance, IT, and global teams.
  • Proactive, adaptable, results-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality outcomes on time.

 

  Language skills:

  • Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
