About The Role:

We are looking for a Senior PHP Full-Stack Technical Team Lead who combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with the ability to guide a high-performing development team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale modern web applications and shared services using PHP, Laravel, Node.js, and Vue.js. You will remain close to the code while leading technical design, mentoring engineers, setting engineering standards, and taking end-to-end ownership of delivery—from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing production support.

You will directly influence architecture across the frontend and backend, code quality, delivery practices, and team effectiveness while contributing hands-on to reliable products at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of scalable full-stack applications, RESTful APIs, backend services, and reusable frontend components using PHP, Laravel, Node.js, and Vue.js.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and technical design through implementation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and long-term production support.
• Maintain and optimize frontend and backend systems for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and developers to translate business goals and user needs into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through hands-on coding, code reviews, architecture guidance, design discussions, mentoring, task breakdown, and consistent engineering best practices.
• Set and uphold technical excellence and production-readiness standards, including clean architecture, secure coding, resilient design, quality gates, release discipline, operational ownership, and pragmatic technical decision-making.
• Design and evolve event-driven architectures and asynchronous integrations using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and related messaging patterns, while improving shared libraries, APIs, frontend foundations, developer tooling, CI/CD workflows, and observability solutions.
• Promote responsible AI adoption across development and SDLC activities, using AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, testing, documentation, productivity, and delivery predictability.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with strong expertise in PHP and modern object-oriented application development.
• Advanced practical experience with Laravel, including service architecture, dependency injection, queues, events, caching, authentication, authorization, and API development.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and Node.js for backend services, integrations, tooling, or real-time application capabilities.
• Strong experience building responsive, maintainable user interfaces with Vue.js, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, component-based design, and state management.
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, RESTful APIs, web security, and scalability principles.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, together with practical experience designing event-driven and message-driven systems using Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ, including producers, consumers, queues, topics, retries, dead-letter handling, and idempotent processing.
• Experience with Docker, containerized development environments, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and preferably Kubernetes.
• Comfortable with automated testing across the stack, including unit, integration, API, frontend, and performance testing.
• Demonstrated experience building, operating, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production-grade, high-traffic web applications.
• Strong focus on technical excellence, production readiness, observability, monitoring, alerting, and shared engineering practices that improve effectiveness across teams and products.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong communicator and hands-on team lead with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset and the ability to align engineers around technical direction, delivery priorities, and engineering quality.
• Experienced in applying AI-assisted development practices across the SDLC, including code generation, review support, automated test creation, documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of engineering workflows.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, event and message schema evolution, delivery guarantees, distributed transaction patterns, API integrations, frontend performance optimization, accessibility, observability platforms, incident response practices, and performance tuning across PHP, Node.js, and Vue.js applications.
