As a Senior Real Estate Construction Project Manager on the Design and Construction team, you lead design and construction projects from early due diligence through close-out, serving as the primary point of contact between us and our external service providers. You partner closely with real estate, project management, and architectural stakeholders to deliver scope, schedule, budget, and quality outcomes while building strong, durable working relationships.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead multiple design and construction projects end-to-end, from due diligence and design through pre-construction, construction, and close-out.
  • Act as the primary liaison between our internal stakeholders and external service providers, driving clear communication and accountability.
  • Facilitate critical stakeholder meetings and provide project leadership to resolve issues quickly and to keep the projects on track.
  • Partner with cross-functional teammates including project managers, architects, designers, and other specialists to align on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Review and approve key financial documents and project agreements, including statements of work.
  • Track project spending, manage change control, and maintain disciplined cost governance.
  • Oversee budgets, due diligence outputs, schedules, and status reporting to ensure alignment with policies and procedures.
  • Support real estate negotiations by reviewing letters of intent and work letters, aligning project requirements to business needs and budgets.
  • Manage project scope to deliver on time and within budget, including preparing and executing supplemental funding requests when required.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated project management experience leading design and construction work in a client-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of the design and construction lifecycle, including due diligence, pre-construction, construction execution, and close-out.
  • Working knowledge of site approval and entitlement processes.
  • Proven ability to make timely decisions, connect details to the broader program objective, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to partner effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders and resolve conflict constructively.
  • Ability to provide confident leadership and contribute to a positive team culture through collaboration and accountability.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex project topics into clear actions and decisions.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships across multiple organizational levels.
  • Adaptability and resilience in environments with continuous change and evolving priorities.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with complex stakeholder groups and tight delivery timelines.
  • Demonstrated strength in cost control, forecasting, and change management across design and construction phases.
  • Experience partnering with real estate teams on lease-related project documentation and coordination.
  • Track record of building strong vendor partnerships that improve quality, speed, and predictability of delivery.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, ability to clearly communicate, conflict resolution skills, and other soft skills that will help lead a successful team.
