Benefits
Full description
Amazon's Worldwide Seller Partner Services (SPS) Finance team is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to help embed AI directly into financial planning and analysis. You'll work across a 3P business spanning FBA and MFN, NA and International — where your modeling and automation work shapes how sellers are priced, forecasted, and reported on.
This isn't a reporting-support role. You'll partner directly with finance managers on ASP and profitability analysis, build sensitivity models that inform investment decisions, and turn dense data into narratives that hold up in front of senior leadership. You'll also build AI workflows that replace hours of manual work — freeing capacity for deeper analysis, not just faster output.
Key job responsibilities - Build AI-powered workflows that automate recurring financial analysis — trend reporting, variance commentary, data extraction — cutting manual cycle time while improving accuracy - Run deep-dive analysis on ASP and profitability trends across size bands, flagging trend breaks that need manager or leadership attention - Build sensitivity models and dynamic forecasts that let leadership stress-test scenarios before committing to a plan - Partner with finance managers to convert raw data into decision-ready narratives for executive reviews - Mentor peers on analytical rigor and AI tool adoption, raising the bar on both without sacrificing data integrity
A day in the life No two weeks look the same here. Some days you're heads-down building or refining an AI workflow; others you're in a business review defending a forecast assumption to a finance manager who'll push back on every input. You'll move between quiet analytical work and live collaboration — often in the same afternoon.
You'll sit close enough to the business to see how a pricing change or seller trend actually shows up in the numbers, and close enough to leadership reviews to know what questions they'll ask before they ask them. The team is small enough that your work gets noticed and used quickly, and collaborative enough that you're rarely solving a hard problem alone.
About the team The SPS FP&A team supports the financial operations for 3rd Party Sellers, one of Amazon's largest businesses. We're building the tools and processes that let financial planning scale globally while holding the precision that billion-dollar decisions require — including embedding AI directly into core workflows rather than treating it as a side project. The team values analytical rigor, mentorship, and a genuinely diverse set of perspectives on hard problems.
Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience - 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
