This position participates in the oversight of HealthPartners care group Diagnosis Accuracy (DA) initiatives (e.g., vendor management, technical build, clinical and non-clinical project management). This position is a subject matter expert on diagnosis accuracy, uses comprehensive project management tools, supports initiatives, applies process improvement tools, identifies, prioritizes, and manages Care Group Diagnosis Accuracy initiatives, and provides reporting and metrics to support the Diagnosis Accuracy Team and the Care Group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care, or other applicable degree.
- Three - five years of experience working in a related health care position.
- Three - five years of demonstrated project management experience (i.e., Lean/Six Sigma/PDCA skills, starting new initiatives, managing projects, communication experience with internal and external customers, process improvement)

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong and demonstrated PC skills are required along with an ability to learn new systems.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills are required
- Ability to work with others and develop consensus among differing parties.
- Knowledge and understanding of health plan diagnosis risk models and diagnosis coding.
- Ability to self-direct work, detail orientated and organized.
- Ability to manage and impart confidential information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Demonstrated experience managing a new initiative from defining the scope of the work to the deployment.
- Demonstrated experience managing an existing programs suite of projects and functions including program enhancement, issue management, and program optimization.
- Knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, especially physician workflow and coding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- (40%) Diagnosis Accuracy Project Management - design and consult with DA Team on DA related projects; lead and track projects that support the organizational strategic goals; analyze, develop, and test data in support of projects and programs; identify interdependencies to ensure desired outcomes are achieved; generate reporting to provide to external department stakeholders in support of projects.
- (40%) Diagnosis Accuracy Program Management - lead, track, and manage broad, complex, long-term organizational projects; consult with DA Team and external department stakeholders on program; manage risk identification and mitigation related to program; identify interdependencies to ensure desired outcomes are achieved; apply tool knowledge to address issues and opportunities with vendor, DA team, and external departments.
- (10%) - Relationship / Collaboration – work across care group in various business and clinical functions (e.g., service line leaders, Payer Relations, Revenue Cycle, IT, Coding, Vendors) to support organization goals related to DA; partner with external vendor to ensure DA program success.
- (10%) - Other duties as assigned.
