Job Title: Senior Cloud Data Engineer
Location: Plano, TX
Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, or GC EAD preferred Locals highly preferred No C2C, 1099, or third-party profiles accepted.
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and data pipelines on AWS. You will work across data engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and data governance to deliver reliable and secure solutions at scale.
The ideal candidate combines strong AWS data engineering and Python development skills with experience in Snowflake, Terraform, and CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Design
and develop scalable cloud data pipelines and data lake solutions using AWS.
- Build
and maintain data processing workflows using AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Implement
data governance, security, and access controls using AWS Lake Formation.
- Develop
automation and integrations using Python, Boto3, and AWS APIs.
- Build
and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Develop,
test, and deploy applications and data pipelines using CI/CD practices.
- Work
with Snowflake and other modern data platforms to support data integration and analytics.
- Monitor,
troubleshoot, and optimize production workloads using CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Partner
with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
- Use
modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+
years of professional experience in cloud data engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on
experience developing data solutions on AWS.

- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience
with Snowflake.

- Strong
understanding of data lake architecture, data pipelines, and cloud data engineering practices.

with Databricks and Apache Spark.

with AWS Athena, EMR, or Redshift.
- Experience
with Control-M or other enterprise scheduling platforms.
- Experience
with AWS CLI and Boto3.
- Experience
with Java or Scala.
- Experience
with ServiceNow.
- Experience
with AWS CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Knowledge
of Snowflake Horizon Catalog or Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Experience
applying AI-assisted development tools, including Copilot, Claude, or agentic workflows.
- Experience
with cloud data governance, security, and access management.
