  • Post Fire Pistol Range Inspection – Complete post firing inspections according to checklist. Be prepared to add other inspections on the form when customer complaints are received so we can contain the defect from being shipped to other customers.
  • First line investigation function on MRB – Judge if cosmetic items can be seen at 18” and would be objectionable to the final purchaser of the pistol. Complete dimensional checks and/or change out assembled parts to determine which part is causing the assembly concern. Ensure production tags parts with part numbers on the tag.
  • Workstation Audits –
  • Are the work instructions being followed.
  • Are operators performing required station checks.
  • BOM to Current build sheet. Do we have the correct part numbers at the station?
  • Inspect completed parts from the workstation; do they have all required components installed correctly?
  • QA Alerts – Support process of issuing and training on the QA Alert. QA Alerts are used to show both the accepted and not accepted condition in order to secure containment and protect the end user.
  • Receiving Inspection Test Builds. Build and follow parts from the sub assembly to final gun for parts from suppliers for test builds.
  • Measurement Studies – Capability studies from parts on the floor for improvement or corrective action projects as assigned.
  • Certifying Parts for Production – Example – Front Standard Day sights failing at 10-13% on the line for no threads. Quick backlit visuals will sort out no threads or save failure rate on the line.
  • Other reasonable duties will be assigned from time to time in order to secure the quality of pistols assembled in this process.
