Our portfolio includes the flagship Billington Federal Cybersecurity Summit in Washington, D.C., the State & Local Cybersecurity Summit, the Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Summit, and year-round digital programs. Together they bring together leaders from every level of government, industry, academia and the nonprofit sector to share strategies, challenges, tools and practices.
Position Overview:
The Client Success Associate is Billington's primary point of contact for our top sponsors. You'll actively manage the relationship from contract signature through post-event debrief, making sure each sponsor's year-round program, built around our Federal, State & Local and Critical Infrastructure summits, is delivered effectively and drives real value. These relationship-management and client support efforts are essential to the successful execution of Billington summits and to ongoing sponsor renewal and retention.
This individual is a member of the Billington Sales team and reports to the VP of Sales, but works closely with colleagues across the organization, including marketing, content and operations.
This is a strong opportunity for an early-career professional ready to take ownership of client relationships. You will join a highly collaborative and growing company with a 17-year track record of producing successful events in the cybersecurity space. Our team offers an immersive experience from Day 1, providing invaluable engagement with a broad range of leading cyber and technology companies and the opportunity to learn about all aspects of producing large-scale, market-leading in-person events. We provide full onboarding and training on our market, events and client-management process.
Key Responsibilities:
Client relationship management
● Serve as the trusted day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of top sponsors, building strong, proactive relationships with their marketing and events teams
● Run regular check-ins with each sponsor (biweekly in the lead-up to events) to review deliverables, deadlines and goals
● Understand each sponsor's objectives and advocate for them internally to get the most value from their program
● Schedule and lead post-event debriefs, deliver ROI reports, and collect sponsor feedback to improve future programs
● Anticipate issues, resolve concerns quickly, and escalate when needed
● Share sponsor health, satisfaction and feedback with account owners to support renewals and growth
● Ensure all top sponsor engagements are accurately tracked in Hubspot, Billington’s sales CRM platform.

● Onboard new sponsors: gather logos, company details and program requirements, and make sure sponsors are presented accurately across signage, websites and communications
● Track all sponsor deliverables, and coordinate with the content, marketing and meetings teams to execute them on time
● Coordinate with the Billington content team on sponsor speaking roles, and guide sponsors through the content process
● Manage the booth selection process with the meetings team
● Track available inventory of exhibit hall booth space, speaking opportunities and other key sponsorship deliverables
● Support sponsors on registration, event app configuration for badge scanning, private meeting rooms and other on-site logistics
● Deliver lead and attendee data to sponsors in line with attendee privacy preferences
● Work with the VP of VIP Events on sponsor participation in VIP and diplomatic receptions
On-site event support
● Attend and support all Billington events, including summits, leadership breakfasts, and VIP receptions, and serve as the on-site point of contact for sponsors
● Provide other on-site staffing support at Billington events as needed
● Travel to out-of-town events as required
● Other duties as assigned
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
● 1–3 years of professional experience in client services, account management, event sponsorship, or a related client-facing role (agency, events, association, B2B or B2G experience preferred)
● Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage many clients, deliverables and deadlines at once, especially in the run-up to events
● Strong relationship skills, with the confidence to be a client's go-to contact and to represent the company professionally with senior executives
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Proactive problem-solver who follows through and owns outcomes
● Collaborative, and comfortable coordinating across teams
● Comfortable and proficient with CRM and productivity tools; experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Workspace, event-app platforms (Whova, Cvent, etc.) is a plus
● Interest in cybersecurity or the public sector is a plus; no prior industry knowledge required
